MeDirect Bank launches €30 million subordinated bond issue

Bond Issue
The Company has launched a €30 million subordinated bond issue, following approval of the prospectus and application for admissibility to listing on the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange.
The issue comprises €30 million of 5.85% unsecured subordinated bonds, issued at par with a nominal value of €100 per bond. The bonds are intended to qualify as Tier 2 instruments and will mature on 13 October 2036, with MeDirect retaining the right to redeem some or all of the bonds between 13 October 2031 and 13 October 2036, subject to the conditions set out in the Prospectus.
The transaction forms part of MeDirect Bank’s capital management strategy, with the net proceeds intended to strengthen its Tier 2 capital position and support its general capital and funding requirements.
