AVI Japan Opportunity Trust wins Best Report and Accounts – Specialist at the AIC Communication Awards

The AIC Shareholder Communication Awards 2026 recognise excellence in how investment trusts and their managers communicate with existing shareholders and attract new investors. Organised by the Association of Investment Companies (AIC), the awards celebrate innovation in annual reports, marketing, public relations, digital communications and shareholder engagement.
The 2026 awards were presented on 29 September 2026 at The Ivy, Tower Bridge, London, with the winners announced on 1 October. The judging panel included investment research specialists and financial journalists.

The judges commended the winner for its informative and well-structured report which clearly articulated the engagement-led approach. They were particularly impressed with the design and use of graphics to demonstrate the performance of the trust.
