Perivan sponsors the 2024 FluidRock Conference ‘The Business Case of Purpose’ in Bryanston, Johannesburg

On Friday 16th August, Perivan were delighted to sponsor FluidRock’s 2024 conference – The Business Case of Purpose. Business Development Director, Dan Gaydon, hosted a booth at the conference to showcase Perivan’s corporate and investor interaction platform, Engage.
FluidRock provide world-class corporate governance solutions to South African, African and international organisations and are the premium corporate governance development institute to company secretaries, non-executive directors and executive directors.
Having worked closely with their Founder and CEO, Ronelle Kleyn, for over a decade, Perivan entered into a partnership with FluidRock in early 2023 to provide Engage to their existing client base and to explore mutually beneficial opportunities in the African market.
Since inception, the partnership has gone from strength to strength with a growing number of FluidRock’s clients signing up to the platform, and many more connections and opportunitie generated throughout a busy day at The Forum, The Campus in Bryanston.
The line-up of speakers was exceptional, with special mention going to Peter Crow for his keynote speech ‘The link between the business case of purpose, performance and value generation’ and Brand Pretorius, who received a well-deserved standing ovation for his moving and heartfelt talk ‘Guidelines for sustainable personal purpose in an ever-changing environment’ which provided a fascinating glimpse into his many years of business experience and the importance of cherishing your life away from work.
Dan was also invited to host a lunchtime roundtable discussion where attendees were each asked to explain the main purpose of their businesses and how they felt personally connected to it. It proved to be a very enjoyable and insightful session.
